SEASON UPDATE!

23rd June 2022

This weekend saw us at Snetterton 300 for the Tegiwa endurance championship. Friday afternoon testing was going well and we were on good pace for the race! Qualifying was wet, I managed to get in one lap before the engine blew up which was good enough for P6 in B class and 16th overall out of 48 cars. Even though we only did one lap, at the end of the session even after the track started to slowly dry we were still p10 in class and p29 overall.

Unfortunately despite the teams best efforts the car was not able to make the grid for the 3 hour race as the engine could not be fixed. Big thanks to my sponsors and team!

RACE REPORT - SPA FRANCORCHAMPS

10th July 2022

This weekend was full of ups and downs literally!

The weekend did not start well with us missing testing due to travel issues and my teammate having an unfortunate incident in the wet in Thursdays testing, an amazing overhaul was undertaken by the team to get the car back to being ready for qualifying working overnight till 3am!

Qualifying was always going to be tough going a track I’ve never raced before with no testing, but we put it p9 in class even thought the car was not 100 percent.

Race 1 (part A) saw us climb to 5th in class and 3rd in clubman until unfortunately a broken hose clip resulted in an in race pit stop which meant we lost 5 laps against our competitors.

Race 1 (part B) we started 5 laps down due to the pit stop in part A and had a further issue with our suspension arm which lost us another 10 laps. The team once again did an amazing job at getting the car back on track and we were back out within 30 minutes of the arm failing.

With an hour to go it was always going to be tough, I tried as hard as I could to regain the track position that we had lost over the course of the races. I made my way across the line to take 5th place in the clubman class, 7th in class and 16th overall.

This was a difficult weekend overall but an immense experience to have raced at this track and certainly one I will never forget!

Onwards and upwards to Snetterton at the end of the month!

Big thanks to my team and sponsors!

RACE REPORT - CROFT

30TH MAY 2022

After an excellent days testing, we qualified 28th overall and 9th in class as the wet didn’t really suit the lotus compared to the other cars.

The race started wet, my teammate Steve did a great job in the conditions but by the driver change we were in 36th place. With the track drying I started making up places and we managed to do some great overtakes including 4 on the last lap after the safety car to finish 14th overall , 7th in class and 2nd in the clubman’s cup.

Absolutely amazing weekend and we can’t wait for Spa in July!

RACE REPORT - DONNINGTON PARK

18TH APRIL 2022

This weekend saw us compete in the first round of the 2022 Tegiwa Endurance championship. With a grid of 56 cars - it was always going to be tough However we went into the weekend with high expectations.Unfortunately we were plagued by gearbox issues all weekend which ultimately meant we had torace without a 4th gear throughout the weekend.Want to say a big thank you to to the team for working into the early hours of Monday morning to diagnose the problem but in the end we just weren’t able to iron out the issues and were unable to compete on a competitive level. It was huge challenge for me and my teammate Steve to nurse the car around the track but eventually the gearbox gave up just before the end finishing us 38th overall and 15th in classBig thanks to the team for trying every possible trick to get the car running, and a huge thank you to @farrimoco and @thestudio_farrimoco for coming down and supporting us on the race day.The car will be fixed for the next round at Croft, where we will be back to being competitive and winning trophies!

ANNOUNCEMENT ON THIS YEARS RACE SEASON

7th April 2022

Finally I get to to announce this years plans for the 2022 season! We will be racing with TWP racing driving the Traxion lotus Elise S2. This will be my first taste of endurance racing and will be a completely different style of racing with fuel stops etc but I’m sure I’ll quickly adapt.
The championship will be held over 7 rounds both in the UK and Europe! Races are from 1 to 3 hours long with a shared driver!

I can’t wait to get started and really need to thank TWP racing for the opportunity and my amazing sponsors @farrimoco and @detailing.reflection for making this happen!.
