ABOUT REECE

After 8 years of karting, with a strong racing record, in September 2018 I made my debut in the Speed Group F1000 series, and I don’t think anyone could have expected what happened next!

Breaking all records for the series as one of the youngest F1000 drivers ever, I placed third in my first ever race – becoming the youngest competitor to ever gain a podium in the series!

After my success in F1000, I competed in Formula Ford which saw me race all over the country against some incredible drivers. Following a short beak due to COVID, in 2022 I raced a Lotus Elise Endurance car.

Now, as we enter the 2024 season - I am proud to announce I am driving in the 2024 Mini Challenge Trophy!

My results to date have transformed me from being the new kid, into a real competitor - the odds say I shouldn't be doing this well... but this is just the start! Join me on my journey to take on the world of racing and become apart of #TEAMRLR.

Reece Lycett Racing - Mini Challenge

Reece won the F6 Championship in his first year of MSA karting in 2013. He battled hard all year in 2014 for the ultra competitive Iame Cadet Title, narrowly missing out on the Championship at the final round. In 2015 Reece helped to develop the brand new ONE 001 kart which proved quicker and quicker against more established karts as the season progressed; eventually finishing 7th in the Championship.

In 2016 Reece finished a creditable 8th in the HKRC X30 Junior Championship – An excellent result for his first year against the
best young racers in the Country including the Vice World Champion and was awarded the high accolade of Junior Sportsperson of the Year in recognition of his achievements.

Following on from his first successful season racing in the HKRC Iame X30 Junior Championship, Reece returned in 2017 intent on emulating his previous success. Once again racing in some of the largest grids in the U.K against Britain’s top young drivers

– Reece achieved a hard fought 4th place in the Championship and returned to the HKRC Awards evening for the second year in succession.
